India is witnessing escalation in number of students moving foreign countries for studies, Counselors call it migration due to urban unemployment in country

3 mn readAbroad studies have become a trend in India. No longer is limited among wealthy families, people belonging to middle class and poor background are also following this shift. According to the administration statistics, three million students moved foreign for pursuing higher studies between 2017 to 2022. 4.54 lakh students travelled foreign in 2017 which escalated in 2018 and 2019 with 5.17 lakh to 5.86 lakh respectively. Due to pandemic, the numbers were affected and reached 2.59 lakh. Last year, 7.50 lakh students got their study visas. The constant increase in number is making raising multiple questions.

It is a Northwest Europe cooperation with the country, that aims to achieve an infrastructure connected through electricity among continents. According to a press release of Green Grids Initiative- One sun One world One grid Northwest Europe Cooperative event by Press Information Bureau (News agency of Government of India) released on 13th October 2021, ‘The idea for the One sun One world One grid (OSOWOG) initiative was put forth by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, at the First Assembly of the International Solar Alliance in October 2018. He had called for connecting solar energy supply across borders. In May 2021, the United Kingdom and India agreed to combine forces of the Green Grids Initiative and the One sun One world One grid initiative and jointly launch GGI-OSOWOG at the COP26 (Climate Change Conference) summit being hosted by the UK at Glasgow in November 2021’.
