The decision says, visitors who already held a work permit within 12 months can now request of interim work authorization to begin working under their new employer quicker. The pandemic did restrict the borders of the country with strict travel and work policies, which are now set to expire in Canada by the latest development. Statement released by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said, ‘Leaving this temporary policy in place makes visitors an option for employers in Canada, as many are facing significant labour shortages during this period of economic expansion’.
