However, the PRC currently does not allow countries with formal diplomatic ties to establish relations with the ROC simultaneously, emphasizing that this is the core of the “One China Principle.”

The Government of Honduras recognizes the existence of one China in the world and that the Government of the People’s Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing all of China. Taiwan is an inalienable part of Chinese territory, and from this date, the Honduran Government has communicated to Taiwan the termination of diplomatic relations, committing not to have any official relations or contact with Taiwan in the future.

According to a press release issued by the Kinmen Defense Command, the soldier did not report for duty on March 9, and when troops searched his barracks, he was nowhere to be found. The 26-year-old soldier, surnamed Chen, served as a cook in the Lieyu Garrison Battalion.
