Petition seeking to legalize same sex marriage in Indian Supreme Court has started a debate in among supporters and administration, including religious leaders. Few years ago, Indian Supreme Court overruled section 377 which categorized gay sex as ‘unnatural offence’. Court in its explanation stated it as discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is a violation of fundamental rights. Country celebrated love openly for the first time, but we also noticed religious groups and conservative rural communities as a strong opposition regarding to this decision.
