3 mn readThe Scottish law set to simplify the process of changing gender in Scotland is to be passed later this month. However, the UK government has not yet ruled out the possibility of challenging the law. The Scottish law will significantly reduce the timescale for any Scottish resident who wants to obtain a certificate of gender recognition and a document allowing them to change the gender on their birth certificate from around three months to two years.
