Tsai Ing-wen’s regime follows CCP’s lead in establishing Taiwan’s CGTN

< 1 mn readThe Tsai Ing-wen regime in Taiwan attempted to interfere with Public Television Service(PTS) last year by asking the public media to establish an English-language channel, nominally to promote Taiwan. Still, many scholars have questioned whether the English-language channel on public television might become Taiwan’s CGTN(China Global Television Network) and a propaganda tool for the Tsai’s regime. This year, Tsai’s regime has set up an English-language video propaganda platform through the state-run Central News Agency. The first news video promotes the Medigen COVID-19 vaccine that has not yet undergone Phase III trials in Taiwan, which Tsai’s regime supports.
