India has launched 5G network and is ready to experience next generation technology

India welcomed 5G network few days ago and became one of the countries that would be running on this network by the end of this year. Along with United States, South Korea and China, India is ready to adapt the technology for various public services including personal uses too. While addressing the launch in an inaugural event, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Today on behalf of the country and Indian Telecom industry, 130 Crore Indians are receiving a wonderful gift in a form of 5G network. 5G will bring a new era in this country and is the beginning of the infinite sky of opportunities for everybody’.

The network will not be available throughout the nation at the moment but will come about in different cities in phases. First cities that will enjoy 5G network includes Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar and Lucknow. However, the rest of the states and cities will relish the service in upcoming months and within two to three years it is a target to cover entire country. Experts are seeing it as a major contribution in the journey of ‘Digital India’ initiated by current Prime Minister. The network is said to deliver multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra-low latency, more reliability, massive network capacity, increased availability and a more of uniform user experience to more users.

Ravi Dubey, an Indian expert commented on the recent development in tech world and said, ‘This is huge and a big one for India in this digital era. It will introduce India with a new generation. When we are already as a country promoting Digital space to our people and globally, getting our hands on the latest technology will only help in attaining our goal expeditiously. Plus, matching with other developed countries has convinced nations that India has capability and potential to as a developing country.’ Indian Telecom industries have given thumbs up to the network and will shortly add it to their services. The CEOs shared the stage with Prime Minister during the launch and committed to provide affordable 5G service to the users. In his speech, Narendra Modi also mentioned India’s future and said, ‘New India will not remain a mere consumer but will play an active role in developing and implementing the technology. India will play a key role in technology sector by designing future wireless technology and manufacturing related to it.’

According to Ravi, Indians will have multiple benefits with coming of 5G network. ‘There are number of advantages one can get from it. It promises higher speed of data than any network which is 10Gpbs. It will provide seamless coverage to every corner of the nation. The network will also push advance technology like Virtual Reality and Argumented reality. The service will encourage new business models, transportation and mobility. Technology will affect various sectors like health, education, environment, agriculture and disaster management’, he said. 5G network will improve the lifestyle in a long term, further added by Ravi Dubey. The technology is expected to push India in achieving a set a goal by the administration. As per the experts 5G network is quite a potential in booming the economic growth of the country. Ravi said, ‘Technology plays a major role in a nation’s economic growth. As per the estimation India will reach its goal of $5 trillion economy by 2024-25 with the contribution 5G network. It will also have a progressive economic impact by $1 trillion by 2035 and will make India to reach to a new height at global level.’

Apart from providing higher data speed and contribution in country’s development, 5G network is ready to give a non-interrupted experience to its users in a large crowded stadiums and gatherings. Through its high speed and low latency, it allows people to live event coverage and broadcasting with an ultra-quality. Due to the increased data demand according to the number of people in a place, 5G network service will deliver quantity data and keep their users online. Expert Ravi told EAT news, it will be a treat for sports lovers. He said, ‘India is a home to various sports and Cricket is one of them. The craze for this sport is out of this world, here and so when such technology enters with a motive to advance the experience of live watching or sharing it with the ones who missed it, is cherry on the cake for Indians. Also we have seen multiple times, in such large gatherings, it becomes difficult to contact as jammers are the big barriers and data is the only option available. 5G network will avoid all kind of interruptions.’

Indian Telecom Industries Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel have already launched the 5G network in specific cities and have given pre festive gift to its users for better Diwali experience, starting this year.
